LINCOLN

Lincoln is a gentle Chihuahua mix with a shy heart and a loving soul. He came to us from a hoarding case involving more than 30 dogs, so much of the world is still very new to him. Because of his past, Lincoln can be scared and reserved at first, especially around unfamiliar people or situations.

What Lincoln needs most is patience, kindness, and the chance to build trust at his own pace. Once he begins to feel safe, his sweet personality starts to come through and he becomes more comfortable being close to the people around him. He is not a dog who will immediately run into your arms, but watching him slowly open up is incredibly rewarding.

Lincoln also does well with other friendly dogs and may even benefit from having a confident canine companion who can help show him that people, homes, and everyday life can be safe.

He would do best in a calm, understanding home with someone willing to give him the time and reassurance he deserves. After everything Lincoln has experienced, he is ready to learn what it feels like to be more than one of 30 dogs. He is ready to be someone’s family.
