About SHILOH
Shiloh is a handsome senior Havanese with a gentle heart and a sweet, thoughtful nature. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he becomes affectionate, loyal, and happiest staying close to the people he trusts. He has that calm, loving energy that makes senior dogs so special, with just enough goofy personality to keep you smiling.
Because Shiloh is an older dog, he does come with some age-related and chronic medical needs that his future family should understand. He has chronic skin changes, including hyperpigmentation and hyperkeratosis, which means his skin is thicker and requires ongoing care. He also has an oronasal fistula, which is a small opening between his mouth and nose, as well as cataracts related to age. These conditions do not take away from who he is, but they do mean he will need a family comfortable continuing his veterinary care and monitoring him as he gets older.
Shiloh is part of our Senior Dog Program, which means his adoption donation has been significantly reduced. Our goal is to make it easier for wonderful senior dogs like him to find a loving home, especially knowing that their adopters may take on additional medical care in the future.
What Shiloh needs most is simple: a calm home, patience, a soft place to rest, and someone who will love him through this chapter of his life. He has already spent many years giving love. Now we would love nothing more than to see someone give that same love back to him.
