LUCY

Lucy is an incredible American Bulldog with a huge heart, a goofy personality, and so much love to give. She was surrendered after her family had to move, after years of being loved and living as part of a home, so she already knows what it means to be someone’s companion.

She is a total cuddle bug and absolutely adores people. Lucy is happiest when she has her person nearby, whether that means following you from room to room, leaning into you for affection, curling up close, or showing off her happy little wiggles when she gets excited. She is incredibly people-oriented and really just wants someone to call her own again.

Lucy is loving, playful, loyal, and affectionate, and she forms strong bonds with the people in her life. She would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a dog who genuinely wants to be part of the family and included in everyday life. She is also already spayed and ready for her next chapter.

When it comes to other dogs, Lucy does best with slow, thoughtful introductions and someone who understands canine body language. Because of that, we believe she would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the attention, although an experienced adopter who is comfortable managing careful introductions may also be considered. Lucy is also not a great fit for a home with cats, so a cat-free household would be best for her.

After spending years knowing the comfort of a family, Lucy is ready to have that again. She wants her person, her couch, her cuddles, and a home where she can settle in knowing she is loved for good. For the right family, she will be an incredibly devoted companion who gives her whole heart.
